Camp Zoo
Camp Zoo is the perfect adventure for kids that love animals, prefer to be outdoors, and thrive on learning more about the environment. Camp days will be spent exploring the Long Island Game Farm and its amazing animals and learning about what makes them unique, exploring the Woodland Trail for hidden clues of wildlife, and age appropriate games, activities and creative crafts to round out the day.
Native American Talking Sticks
With Tony Valderrama
Step into the rich traditions of Native American culture through the art of the talking stick—a powerful symbol of respectful communication and shared wisdom. In this engaging workshop, participants will create their own unique talking sticks using North Fork driftwood, colorful beads, natural pigments, and feathers.
Inspired by an authentic display of Native American art and musical instruments, students will learn the cultural significance of the talking stick and how it was used in circles to ensure that every voice was heard with honor.
As a meaningful conclusion to the class, students will be invited to raise their talking sticks and share words of gratitude and ideas for caring for our Mother Earth.

Paper Making: From Pulp to Art A Two-Day Workshop in Creative Sustainability

Wednesday, July 23 and Friday, July 25 from 3:30 - 5 PM
Discover the art (and the magic!) of turning recycled paper and natural materials into beautiful handmade paper. In this immersive two-day workshop, participants will explore the process of paper making—from pulp to finished sheet—using leaves, petals, seeds, and more to add texture and color.
Day 1: Learn traditional paper making techniques and create your own sheets of eco-friendly paper.
Day 2: Return to transform your handmade paper into original works of art—collages, cards, prints, or whatever your imagination inspires.
This workshop blends creativity with environmental awareness, perfect for all ages and abilities. Come get your hands wet and your ideas blooming!

Songbird Sessions: Brady Rymer and Rising Stars
Join three-time Grammy nominee Brady Rymer, who has been making infectious, high-energy rock ‘n’ roll music for kids and families for nearly 25 years. Native American Zoomorphic Pinch Pots
With Tony Valderrama
Join us for a hands-on journey into Native American art and storytelling! In this unique workshop, participants will explore the ancient tradition of pinch pots—one of the earliest forms of pottery—while learning how Native peoples used clay, symbols, and animal imagery to share their stories and beliefs.
Guided by Environmental Artist and Educator Tony Valderrama, each student will create their own zoomorphic (animal-shaped) pinch pot inspired by their favorite animal. The session begins with a cultural introduction, including traditional Native American artwork and the soothing sounds of the Native flute, setting the stage for a meaningful and creative experience.
Perfect for all ages and abilities. Come connect with nature, history, and your own imagination—one pinch at a time.

Seashell Art: Shellebrate Summer & Sea Life
With Tony Valderrama
Dive into creativity while exploring the vital role of our local water-cleansing shellfish! In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn fun facts about bivalves and other fascinating marine invertebrates that live in our coastal waters. Then, using native seashells as their canvas, each student will design a unique piece of art inspired by their favorite elements of summer—sunshine, sea creatures, beach days, and beyond. A perfect blend of marine science and artistic expression!

For Blues and Jazz fans and those who love fun and soulful music meet us at The Blue Light Club. Featuring Danny Kean, Rorie Kelly, Jack Licitra, Gianna Volpe and an amazing 7-piece band. This fiction meets reality adventure is sure to make you dance and open your heart. Classic sounds from New Orleans to Havana set the scene for this theater of the mind.

Trail Trot & Animal Antics
Children are invited to take part in the Trail Trot and Animal Antics event!
This non-competitive Trail Trot includes a Fun Animal Antics. Follow the signs to the animal for whacky challenges that will keep you laughing. After completing the tasks, meet in Woodland Hall for your Trail Trot Ribbon, refreshments and our Open House.
Registration for Trail Trot is $15 (Ages 3 -12)
Parents and guardians do not need to register in advance, and will pay general admission to Long Island Game Farm on the day of the event. You are welcome to join your child on the trail and for the events.

Animal Tracks and Trails: Wildlife Behavior
An enrichment homeschool class at the Long Island Game Farm could provide an exciting, hands-on learning experience focusing on exploring the natural world through animal behaviors and trails. The program would leverage the farm's diverse animal inhabitants and natural environment to teach kids about wildlife, ecosystems, and how to observe and interpret animal activity.
Focus: Observing and understanding animal behaviors, habitats, and movement through trails, tracks, and signs in the environment.

Join us for an exciting homeschool enrichment program at the Long Island Game Farm, where students will explore the fascinating ways animals survive and thrive in their environments!
In this interactive class, students will learn about the incredible adaptations animals use to find food, protect themselves, and endure seasonal changes. We'll delve into topics like hibernation, migration, and other survival strategies, while observing a variety of species—from native wildlife to exotic animals like lemurs, zebras, capybaras, and playful goats.Join us for an exciting homeschool enrichment program at the Long Island Game Farm, where students will explore the fascinating ways animals survive and thrive in their environments!

iPhone Photography Class
Anthony Graziano is an award-winning fine art photographer, author and educator who uses photography to capture the beauty of the natural world. This is an encompassing workshop that will take you well beyond basic iPhone snapshots and provide skills needed to create art quality photographs that you will be proud to share and display! This class will begin with instruction inside and then move outside into the field where you will get to practice what you've learned.
